The World Is Waiting
I was born in Portsmouth, VA to a US Navy father and Japanese mother. Unfortunately, my father lost his life while stationed on Guantanamo Bay, Cuba when my mother was pregnant with me at 7-months.
After my father passed away, my mother, older brother, and I moved to California where there was more opportunity. Even though it seemed scary at first, moving to California proved to be the best decision. Virginia would have been comfortable, but my Mom left her comfort zone and took a chance. Because of this, I learned early on in order to make a positive change, you must first get out of your comfort zone.
